Our Charter
The Mozart Society of California was established in June of 1988, in affiliation with The International Mozart Foundation of Salzburg, Austria, by those of us who felt deeply enriched by classical music and by the work of Mozart in particular.

In five concerts per year the Society presents renowned musicians of national and international standing, who perform and interpret the music of Mozart and of other great European composers of the 18th and 19th Centuries.

Past Performances
Among many others, we have been pleased to present the Lark, Alexander, Orion, Brentano, Orpheus, and Ying string quartets; pianists Robert Levin, Gustavo Romero, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Ralf Gothoni, and Igor Kipnis; baritone Jorma Hynninen; The Salzburg Marionette Theater; the San Francisco Opera Center Singers; the Amadeus and Altenberg piano trios; the Los Angeles Piano Quartet; the Zephyros Wind Quintet; and clarinetist Eli Eban.

Educational Outreach
As their schedules permit, we also arrange for artists to visit high schools on the Monterey Peninsula, to allow students, not only to hear live music, but also gain from the insights of touring professional musicians, through lively dialogue. Click here to learn more.

Donations
Just as Mozart required the patronage of the European Courts, the Mozart Society of California also depends on your tax deductible donations to maintain the quality of the concerts we strive to provide and trust you have come to enjoy.
